Train Boxes Plus is pleased to offer the Model Railroad Hobbyist an efficient and economical system to transport, display, preserve, store and manage the Rolling Stock and Power of your model train and hobby collection.

We offer two box sizes, with a selectable Tray (insert) concept, which will assist you in managing and transporting your hobby collection to your Club’s Operating Sessions, display your stock at the next Train Show or Swap Meet, or to safely and conveniently preserve and store your collection. 

Our Product offering begins with a Moisture Resistant heavy duty (270# Test) cardboard box with a telescoping lid. The moisture resistant cardboard reduces your concern for product damage as you dart in or out of the Operating Session or the Swap Meet during those sudden rain storms. If the box is set on the wet pavement, the moisture will not seep through the box or un-glue the tape on the bottom, since there is no tape or glue within our construction. 

Train Boxes Plus currently offers four different sizes of trays, constructed of heavy duty (200# Test Weight) cardboard:

     (a) “Z” and “N”

     (b) “HO”

     (c) “S”, “Sn3”, “O-27”, and “On3”

     (d) “O” Gauge. 

The “S” Tray, which can also be used for O-27, Sn3, On3, is approximately 3½ inches deep and divided into three individual compartments, maintaining the 28 inches in length. The 28-inch-long compartment will efficiently store two of the American Flyer Streamline or Heavy Weight Passenger cars, or three of the normal box cars or tank cars. The Full-Size Box will hold three trays, accommodating the storage of 27 pieces of common rolling stock or 18 pieces of Streamliner or Heavy Weight passenger cars.
